The In Other WORDS Team


Henry Morgenstern, President
Henry MorgensternHenry Morgenstern joined In Other WORDS in 1993 as a technical writer, when the company was still located at Moshav Shorashim.

From 1993 to 2002, he was instrumental in building the company from its tiny moshav origins into Israel's premiere technical communication and training company, employing more than 60 people.

Today, Henry Morgenstern divides his time between Israel and the USA, providing WORDS with its American base of operations.

Larry Rosenfeld, General Manager
Larry RosenfeldLarry Rosenfeld has been the General Manager of WORDS since 2002. Being a founding member of Moshav Shorashim, Larry has been associated with WORDS since its beginning. Larry went on to be the logistics manager for a high-tech medical equipment company, and later the exclusive importer of the largest publisher in the United States.

Larry rejoined WORDS in 2000 as the Head of Marketing. After completing the In Other WORDS course in Introduction to Technical Communication, his responsibilities included course development and personnel. In 2002 Larry replaced Henry Morgenstern as General Manager.

To keep his sanity, Larry runs the Karmiel Folk Klub and is active in the Israel folk music community.

Waffa Hindiyya, Adminstrator
Waffa HindiyyaWaffa Hindiyya has been with In Other WORDS since 1995. Starting as a receptionist, after a short while Waffa took over all of the office administrative responsibilities. Waffa studied bookkeeping in Ma'alot and for the past seven years has been responsible for the company's bookkeeping, in addition to office administration. Waffa is also responsible for all translations into and from the Arabic language. Waffa has recently finished studying Marketing and Sales at the Western Galilee College in Acco.

Before joining the WORDS team Waffa worked as an assistant for a tax consultant in Nahariya. In the past Waffa has been the head of quality control at Gibor-Sabrina Textiles, worked in plastic molding factory, managed a video store and was a disc jockey at a local radio station.

Leah Guren, Director of Training
Leah GurenLeah Guren is the Director of Technical Communication Training at In Other WORDS. She has been active in technical communication for over 25 years as a writer, manager, and consultant. For the past ten years she has taught WORDS's Introduction to Technical Communication course, where she has successfully initiated hundreds of people into the profession. She also conducts numerous seminars and workshops on a regular basis at high-tech companies in Israel and abroad. Leah is an internationally-recognized speaker in the field of technical communication. She appears regularly at the Society for Technical Communication conference and other international technical communication conferences and conventions.

Leah Guren was recently elected as one of the eight directors of STC (the Society for Technical Communication). Leah, an STC senior member and long active in the Israel chapter, is the Director of Training for In Other WORDS. She becomes the first person from Israel to serve on the STC Board of Directors. As an STC director for a three-year term, Leah is a voting member of the Board of Directors and will be assigned duties as deemed appropriate by the STC president.

Dr. Charles Hurwitz, Senior Project Manager
Charles HurwitzDr. Charles Hurwitz has been our outsourcing Project Manager since 1999. Charles received his BA in Biology from Boston University, and MS in Plant Pathology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. In 1994 he was awarded a PhD in Biology from the Technion. Charles has worked for several biotechnology companies ranging from anti-cancer drug research to plant propagation, in research and management positions in both the US and Israel. In addition to managing projects, Charles continues to write because he believes that it is important to keep his skills sharp.

Dave Benjamin, Director of Personnel
Dave BenjaminDave Benjamin joined In Other Words at the beginning of 2007 after completing our Introduction to Technical Communications Course in 2006.

Before joining the WORDS team Dave worked as a self-employed PC technician and teacher, as well as being a small business entrepreneur. He was a kibbutz member for many years before that. Dave has managed Israel’s busiest PC help forum for many years, where he’s written numerous guides on various hardware and software applications.

Dudu Koren, Translation Manager
Dudu KorenDudu (David) Koren has been managing the WORDS translation department since 1995. He was born and educated in Israel, a graduate of the Hebrew University Faculty of Agriculture. During his career, Dudu worked in a variety of fields, such as computer programming and quality assurance in a medical device high-tech company. His background and his love for the Hebrew language eventually directed him to the field of technical translation, which he has been practicing since 1995.

Parallel to project coordination and translations, Dudu also facillitates processes related to translation, guiding and assisting WORDS's translators in many technical aspects associated with their work. Dudu has studied music at the Rimon School of Music and actively plays and sings in a vocal ensemble. Recently, Dudu made a guest appearance in Niko Levy's new CD 'Cosmic Romanza', where he plays flute, recorders and guitar.

Naty Schwartz, International Translation and Localization Manager
Naty SchwartzNaty Schwartz is responsible at WORDS for large, multi-language translation and localization projects. He was born in Romania in 1966 and his family immigrated to Israel in 1976. In 1994, he earned his B.A. in Psychology and Arts at Haifa University, where he went on to do two years of post-graduate studies in Clinical Psychology. Over the years, he has completed professional courses in a variety of fields including, photography, computer graphics, family and marital mediation, and group guidance.

Naty first entered the world of translation during his M.A studies. Since then he has pursued perfection in this meticulous line of occupation. His translation work has covered a wide range of topics and technical requirements, with areas of expertise in academic, web site localization, various technology domains (IT, telecom, software), and arts (painting, photography, etc.).

Naty has also gained a great deal of project management experience in the high-tech and manufacturing sectors, including employment as a project manager in a large industrial engineering firm.

Marilyn Glazier , Marcom Project Manager
Marilyn GlazierMarilyn Glazier joined WORDS as Marketing Communications Project Manager in 2007. Armed with degrees from both Syracuse University and Washington University in St. Louis, Marilyn moved to Israel in 1984 and has been part of the Galilean scene ever since. Her professional experience encompasses all aspects of marketing communications and public relations in a number of diverse fields including: high tech, biomedical, gaming and franchising. Marilyn's passion for the English language is ideal for her role at WORDS, which involves overseeing all Marcom projects, as well as writing as much as she can.

Dov Freiberg, Head of WORDS's Telemarketing Department
Dov Freiberg has been the head of WORDS's telemarketing department since 1992. From those early days, when WORDS was located at Moshav Shorashim, Dov has been the first contact to more than half of WORDS's customers.

With experience in the hotel industry and banking, as well as having been a small-business entrepreneur in Haifa, Dov realizes that the three most important concerns of the customer are service, service and service. He knows that his job as the head of telemarketing does not end until the project is finished to the customer's satisfaction.
